Dennys: News Politics Comedy Science Arts & Food: 15 Funny Tasty July Fourth Posts: From Denny:  Hope everyone is enjoying their holiday time off.  It certainly is hotter than ever this summer.  And we have global warming to enjoy for years to come.  So laugh a lot while you are figuring out how to adapt to this new extreme weather sport:  scorching summers.

Dennys Art Sanctuary: Music: Fun Cartoon Video, Beatles Hard Days Night: From Denny:  Need a fun break away from your routine?  This little video is just the answer for a head trip to get you laughing once again.  Courtesy of The Beatles of a Blast From The Past - 1964 to be exact. :)

By the way some previously unreleased black and white photos from 1964 of The Beatles is up for auction this month.  The 87-year-old photographer did not realize he was sitting on a gold mine.

No one has seen these photos of the band as they have been hidden away in the old guy's photo album for almost 50 years.  Old people; gotta love 'em!

The photographer was Peter Allchorne, the studio props manager for the movie.  He seemed to ignore the ban on taking photos on the set and did it anyway.

The Social Poets: Funny Osama Bin Laden Posts, 1 Year Anniversary Dead: From Denny:  Today President Obama took yet another victory lap while in Afghanistan, spiking the proverbial football and crowing about how he "got" America's Number One Terrorist Boogeyman a year ago, Osama bin Laden.  Never mind the rest of us find this political boasting in an election year as really bad form, including Arianna Huffington.

Actually, it was the Navy Seals that killed the fool.  Why would a president that regularly has a hard time making any decisions go around the world crowing about how he made one decision to kill one terrorist in the comfort of the White House and well protected by thousands of bodyguards from thousands of miles away from the gore?  Come on; it has the look of election year desperation and is a bit pathetic.  It looks like the presidential version of an Elmo Happy Dance.

But hey, it's standard election year politics for both parties.  It's their job to live in a fantasy world about what is a great idea for focusing the public on all their accomplishments while in office. The objective is to distract away from what is making the public angry about the candidate's performance so the voters will forget and vote for him any way.  Yeah, Life in America.  Does it get any better?

Funny Monday Morning Work Cartoons

From Denny: Check out these funny work day cartoons I found hanging around in the draft section of this blog. Better yet, the cartoonists still have the embed codes enabled - which certainly makes me do a little Sesame Street Elmo Happy Dance.

Almost two years ago it was when a stable of famous cartoonists quit enabling the embed codes to their political cartoons on thousands of blogs and sites. Considering how much traffic we bloggers sent them that could not have been too smart a business move. Oh, well. :)   It also explains why you will see blank areas in a post or web page and maybe a few cartoons still left to view.

One of these days I'll get around to doodling my own cartoons and put the embed codes up on flickr - free to bloggers forever. So, while you are waiting for Her Greatness to find the time to doodle you can enjoy these smart cartoonists who are still available for viewing, enjoy!

First, there is the Sarah Palin 'We The People' Bus Tour across America to show her patriotism.

Forget it the historic facts were spewed out wrong. Just keep rolling that bus while you collect wads of cash to stuff into your greedy pockets. It's amazing anyone gives her money as she promises illogical things and delivers air promises.  When the press quotes her exactly everyone is still left scratching their heads, wondering what was she addressing as an issue and what was her solution.

Then we all got to snicker as Newt Gingrich got fired by his own campaign. Come on. Who fires their candidate? Yeah, it was that bad. Kind of makes you feel bad for the Republicans. OK, not enough to vote for any of them but still... Can you imagine trying to sell lipstick on the Newt Pig? That's one hard sell that not even Tiffany's jewelry could improve. It's no wonder they covered their faces like The Taliban and left town."

Funny Social Commentary Cartoons

From Denny:  Enjoy these cartoons while they last. The wealthy cartoonists over at Comics.com have all banded together and no longer give embed codes to bloggers for their cartoons. That includes the political cartoonists too.

Sigh.  What!?  No more crazy Palin cartoons or Gingrich.  I might be suffering from cartoons withdrawal soon.  Hopefully, these cartoonists will continue to enable the previous codes like these cartoons.

I guess this can only mean one thing: It's time for me (and you) to learn how to cartoon and do my (our) own silly cartoons. I mean, who has a corner on laughter anyway? We all deserve the right to smiles.








































Remember that female cobra that escaped from the Bronx Zoo? Well, they ended up naming her Mia - yes, that's right: Missing In Action. She was found on the premises in a dark warm corner. "Mia is in the building!" - Elvis style.
