A Truth Journal: Jon Stewart, Late Nite Jokes Roundup: New Pope, Easter, Funny Politics, Gay Marriage, April Fools

A Truth Journal: Jon Stewart, Late Nite Jokes Roundup: New Pope, Easter, Funny Politics, Gay Marriage, April Fools: 2 funny video clips, lots of hilarious photo memes and great jokes!

From Denny:  How the comedy fun just keeps rockin' on!  These guys just don't give up.  They create the funniest news commentary in America.  OK, some of it is borderline tasteful but then you wouldn't be checking out this post if that mattered.

These jokes and video clips are just from the month of March 2013.  Yes, these comics are prolific and it takes a good week to round up the jokes and a few of the best clips.  If you have some additional comedy clips you really enjoyed, and want others to know about, just leave the urls in the comment box, and, thanks!

The Social Poets: Funny Osama Bin Laden Posts, 1 Year Anniversary Dead

Jeff Stahler

The Social Poets: Funny Osama Bin Laden Posts, 1 Year Anniversary Dead: From Denny:  Today President Obama took yet another victory lap while in Afghanistan, spiking the proverbial football and crowing about how he "got" America's Number One Terrorist Boogeyman a year ago, Osama bin Laden.  Never mind the rest of us find this political boasting in an election year as really bad form, including Arianna Huffington.

Actually, it was the Navy Seals that killed the fool.  Why would a president that regularly has a hard time making any decisions go around the world crowing about how he made one decision to kill one terrorist in the comfort of the White House and well protected by thousands of bodyguards from thousands of miles away from the gore?  Come on; it has the look of election year desperation and is a bit pathetic.  It looks like the presidential version of an Elmo Happy Dance.

But hey, it's standard election year politics for both parties.  It's their job to live in a fantasy world about what is a great idea for focusing the public on all their accomplishments while in office. The objective is to distract away from what is making the public angry about the candidate's performance so the voters will forget and vote for him any way.  Yeah, Life in America.  Does it get any better?

The Social Poets: Funny Late Nite Jokes About GOP Rick Santorum

The Social Poets: Funny Late Nite Jokes About GOP Rick Santorum: From Denny: At the beginning of this leap year month it was "Rick Santorum -who?!" In just the past two weeks he climbed the GOP primary charts. With that sudden rise in popularity came the late night jokes to prove he was noticed by national voters.

Of course, never mind he achieved that notice by screaming out the most weirdo conservative positions. He took a page out of the Gingrich Playbook. If it worked for him, maybe it would work for Santorum.

Then came the rambling undisciplined speeches from Santorum that left the voters wondering what he said. Republican political strategists wildly started pulling out their already thinning hair at the notion of Santorum making it to their convention.

Forget my fellow journalists. The best guys to vett any political candidates are the comedians in my book. Since I'm the publishing and journalism industry's dreaded hybrid they have yet to catch up to or understand, - a journalist blogger - I'm delivering the unvarnished truth to my loyal readers with a dash of spicy opinion and a liberal dose of humor. After all, who said we can't enjoy some funnies along with our consideration of who we will consider not voting for in the November election?

The Social Poets: Funny Late Nite Jokes: GOP Gaffer Rick Perry

Rick Perry

The Social Poets: Funny Late Nite Jokes: GOP Gaffer Rick Perry: From Denny: GOP 2012 candidate Rick Perry has been stepping on his tongue ever since he entered the race.

Considering how we here in Louisiana feel about the next door neighbor's bullying Texas culture, we Cajun types affectionately call "Shit Kickers," it could not have happened to a better politician.

After all, who has empathy for the guy who thought the BP Oil Spill was good event planning?

The Social Poets: Roundup of Late Nite Jokes: 2012 Election Politics

The Social Poets: Roundup of Late Nite Jokes: 2012 Election Politics: "From Denny:While the nation laughs at the GOP contenders trolling across the nation for dollars and votes the comedians are out in full force making us laugh harder. First, there is the Sarah Palin 'We The People' Bus Tour across America to show her patriotism.

Forget it the historic facts were spewed out wrong. Just keep rolling that bus while you collect wads of cash to stuff into your greedy pockets. It's amazing anyone gives her money as she promises illogical things and delivers air promises.  When the press quotes her exactly everyone is still left scratching their heads, wondering what was she addressing as an issue and what was her solution.

Then we all got to snicker as Newt Gingrich got fired by his own campaign. Come on. Who fires their candidate? Yeah, it was that bad. Kind of makes you feel bad for the Republicans. OK, not enough to vote for any of them but still... Can you imagine trying to sell lipstick on the Newt Pig? That's one hard sell that not even Tiffany's jewelry could improve. It's no wonder they covered their faces like The Taliban and left town."

The Social Poets: Funny Late Nite Jokes, Video, Cartoons: Bin Laden Porn Stash, Navy Seal Raid

Comic Conan O'Brien

The Social Poets: Funny Late Nite Jokes, Video, Cartoons: Bin Laden Porn Stash, Navy Seal Raid: "From Denny: When America catches and kills off a long hated terrorist what is there to do but to make tasteless jokes about it? The late night comics are in full laughing mode, mocking the insanity. Of course, now, what we will do for macabre entertainment here in the West?

The speculation is already on in the military, intelligence and comedy communities - sometimes these guys really do echo each other in the most spooky ways - as to who takes over as Bin Laden's harried replacement. Colbert adds his funny voice to the world journalists, showing the possible replacement for World Terrorist."

The Social Poets: Libya War: Funny Late Nite Jokes Roundup

Stephen Colbert arrives at Al Faw Palace at Ca...Image by DVIDSHUB via Flickr

The Social Poets: Libya War: Funny Late Nite Jokes Roundup: "Check out what the comedians lampoon about The Peace President, Obama, going into Libya. Boy, I tell ya, a guy tries to help out some desperate people in a foreign country from getting slaughtered and all he gets is flak from the Republicans and comedians.

Of course, like so many sticky political situations, it's all about The Ego. The mostly male media ratchets up The Ego Meter by declaring Prez Obama is a wimp if he doesn't succeed at deposing Gadafi now that he's declared, 'Gadafi must go!' So, suddenly out come The Big Guns: the CIA operatives magicly appear in Libya 'advising' the rebel forces. Read that as, 'These guys are so clueless the only way to keep them alive is knock some sense into them and show them how to win.'"
