A Truth Journal: Jon Stewart Slams Vets Admin For Damning 900,000 Vets To Health Care Hell: From Denny: Like President Obama was warned when coming into his first term by outgoing President Bush 43, "Somewhere, every day, there is someone screwing up in the federal government." Truer words could never have been spoken. Who knew Bush was a government prophet?

For decades there have been serious problems going on at the Veterans Administration. Along comes a new President and he throws a healthy extra billion dollars at the VA to fix the current problem, and, you guessed it, taxpayers are not getting their money's worth.

What it amounts to is that basically two greedy battling tech competitors set about to screw over 900,000 disabled veterans in desperate need of medical treatments and surgeries. Does the insane and depraved indifference of greed never stop? It's shameful what is happening over at the VA...

Dennys Global Politics: Has Blogger, Now Owned By YouTube, Been Hacked By Islamic Cyber Attacks?:

From Denny: Looks like Blogger (blogspot.com) has been hacked for high traffic blogs. Good thing I have plenty of low traffic blogs (22) from which to post. :)

Found my politics blog The Social Poets (http://thesocialpoets.blogspot.com) has been redirected here whenever I land on the site: http://rd.parklogic.com/?d=GELGIT.TK&p=7044000&k=&_=1347809152. It lists as the site: gelgit.tk. Who the hell are these guys???!

Fortunately, none of my other 22 blogs are getting redirected.

Went to Blogger help area and there are tons of angry people with similar and related issues. Hey, IT guys, what's going on? Aftermath of 9/11 attacks - this time cyber? There is no sense in posting on my politics blog, The Social Poets, until this issue is cleared up - and it's been going on for days now. Looks like I will have to utilize my other 22 blogs for posting.

Cool Peter The Elephant Deftly Operates Samsung Phone

From Denny: Check out Peter the elephant as one cool dude. This ad was originally developed to promote the Samsung Galaxy Note.

Peter knows how to use the apps by employing the tip end of his trunk like its his finger. He zips through photos to find the one he wants. He strums his virtual guitar strings. He plays musical rings he likes. He grabs a stylus and starts to draw his fellow elephant in the field. Not a bad rendition for a first try at portrait drawing. Peter then takes tourist photos of himself with his new friend.

He dances and flaps his ears in joy for the fun he is having playing with the phone. Peter knows he is cool as he waves goodbye with his trunk and saunters off with a bounce in his step. Forget the phone; it's the elephant you want to come home with you! I wonder if he would considering answering my mountain of email? After all, he seems to enjoy technology. :)

On a sad note, the sons of Donald Trump seem to have nothing better to do than hunt and kill elephants and other wild animals just for sport and the ivory tusks as trophies. Elephants are intelligent as evidenced by the Taiwanese elephant Peter's ability and personality.

The Social Poets: News Links: Occupy Wall Street Protests 1 - 12 Oct 2011: From Denny: Occupy Wall Street is finally getting the attention of mainstream media. Europe, the Middle East and Asia are as fascinated with the protest movement as are Americans. Wall Street and other Big Business concerns like Fox News have tried to trivialize the anger of America's majority but to no avail.

The protests are growing exponentially as more people from all different walks of life and age groups are lifting up their voices in protest against America's "bought government" and demanding reform from our highest politicians.

Check out how the media's awareness of the movement has evolved from first "why take them seriously" to "OMG! This is the real deal!" The protest first erupted in New York City in September. At the time the organizers planned to march for three weeks. Now that the movement has morphed and evolved, developing a life of its own, organizers threw that plan out of the window, planning to march indefinitely.

Computer Crashed This Week, Back Up Soon

From Denny: It had to happen sooner or later, right? The Dell Dimension was lingering like a slow tortoise crossing the road and stopping traffic. It just turned five years old.

After a few days of trying to fix it on my own I finally admitted defeat and took it into Office Depot. When I got the high quote I knew the Universe was advising me it was time to purchase a new one for practically the same price. It was just a couple of weeks ago I was in there, cruising the tech aisles, drooling over the terrabyte goodies while my husband grinned and shook his head.

So, yesterday, my husband looked at me and looked at the old guy Dell and said it was time to meet the new BFF guy on the block: HP. Happy Birthday to me a few weeks early. My husband turned to me today and said, "Someone's in a better mood - and so much happier. Welcome back to the plugged in human race." :)

Oh, and for the Fourth weekend Office Depot has lots of great sales on computers and other happy tech goodies. If you are like me, finally having to part with an old friend, take a look around. Who knows? You just might meet the new love of your life!
