The Social Poets: Im Just Saying: Funny Political Thought About Romney: From Denny: Since I could care less who wins or who loses the GOP race for president, I'm free to mock it in style.

At our house we were watching the GOP primary returns for the last three states of Colorado, Minnesota and Missouri. Much to everyone's surprise it was the non-candidate Santorum that ran away with two of the races.

Though delegates were not awarded it is Santorum that has basically caught up with front-runner Mitt Romney by about 86 for Santorum to 94 delegates for Romeny. The winner needs about 700 to win.

Santorum, a Catholic, has sharpened his message to be known as the middle class guy and conservative. Romney is painted as the rich guy who is out of touch.

Lately, since getting trounced in the last race Romney is working hard to overcome the perception by portraying himself as a sensitive guy. He even laid claim to being a Mormon minister for 10 years and how he truly understands the unemployed and marital difficulties as a result of not being able to pay your bills.

So, here is my I'm Just Saying:

The Social Poets: Occupy Wall Street: Are Their Conclusions Correct?: From Denny: This new American Revolution, Occupy Wall Street, caught fire across America in less than one month of protests. OWS is spreading to 25 cities like an oozing peanut butter sandwich overflowing with jam - and is now international too. There is just something so appealing about this protest movement because of its common ground that cuts across the spectrum of race, gender, lifestyle, generations, education and economic class.

Occupy Wall Street protesters have been smart in targeting the lynch pin of American society: the financial sector. It is the financial sector that buys the politicians to pass the laws to unleash business to have free rein and never enforce what laws are on the books.

It's the financial sector that buys the police force to intimidate ordinary citizens like those incidents of pepper sprayed women during the protests. Notice they didn't go after men who could pummel them; they went after women.

A future journalist watching waaaay too much TV for his own good.  He has the Middle East revolutions on the brain.  Hey!  It was worth a trial run at the parents.  Better now than taking a story spin at his future workplace boss.  Things could get really ugly 20 years from now.






OK, how many of us that have a few weird uncles like this wonder what we are supposed to do with them?  Should we charge admission to the neighbors or lie to the old guys, claiming we are doing a documentary and put it up on YouTube so the whole world can laugh with them?

For thousands of years, "man" has not changed when it comes to his pride about his "wheels."  After all, it's who he is - and the chicks dig it.

Society hasn't changed much over the centuries.  People still can't get that pregnancy story straight.





Where critical thinking went in America...





Glenn Beck as Paul Revere?  The Tea Party trying to ride to the rescue but have to ask for Bailout Quarters?






Don't you just love it when your airline is messin' with your head right before takeoff?






Where do our weird politics originate?  Can it be evolution?  Can it be creationism?  How about: Is God mad at us and we all got Left Behind and this is what He means by Hell On Earth?



Oh, such dedication to the Couch Potato Olympics...

There is a reason why over 50 percent of Baby Boomers now refuse to leave their children an inheritance, according to a new poll.  The Self Entitlement Crowd starts early and has gone too far.  Now it's the revenge of the parents decades later.






While the oil and gas industry reports record profits this past year to the tune of billions of billions, America still can't convince the GOP to spend money to repair highways and crumbling bridges.  Hey! Let's just wait for a huge bridge to collapse and all gather together to watch it on CNN.  Then we will complain that someone should have done something and then vote in the very someone who refuses to do anything about the problem. Ain't America just the greatest nation on the planet?  You may now wave your flag at traffic.
