The Social Poets: Funny Jon Stewart Mocks Wall Street For Causing Greek Crisis
The Social Poets: Funny Jon Stewart Mocks Wall Street For Causing Greek Crisis: "From Denny: Get your crash course in crooked banking Wall Street style from your favorite comedian. He does make learning fun. Why wasn't college this entertaining?
You have all hear about how Greece is melting down financially. Recently, the European Union put on hold their $billion bailout while they await Greece to sell off some of their assets. What took the Greeks so long to get around to the obvious? They should have sold their banks and state-owned companies years ago when they were first in trouble.
If you have ever visited Greece you soon learn they have one terrific lifestyle. It's not terribly responsible on the individual level any more than on the national level. They literally party every night, spending hundreds of dollars a night. They do not save money. They don't believe in savings accounts. Amazing."

Funny Jon Stewart Mocks Bin Laden Conspiracy Theory
From Denny: The comedians have figured out how to help President Obama fix his relationship with Pakistan. The obvious cure? Admit that Osama Bin Laden really is not dead. Hey, that's a novel idea.
The best reason for saying Bin Laden is actually still alive is because it will help defense spending. "Why risk bursting The Terror Bubble?" asks comedian John Hodgman. "After all, it's our last bubble" and the economy might be in trouble if we take a baseball bat to it is the subtext.
Wondering how we could start such a Bin Laden rumor, Hodgman reminds us we are the country so capable we put a man on the moon. He says we are also the country that created rumors we did not put a man on the moon. Ain't America great?
Jon Stewart suddenly figures out what Hodgman is saying, "To save our economy we need to create a new conspiracy theory about Osama Bin Laden from scratch."
The reply? "Yes, that's what we do best."
When Stewart asks how we can convince people Bin Laden is really alive it's Hodgman who suggests we photoshop Bin Laden into video of the audience at a sports event. Yeah, that will show 'em but that's maybe a little too obvious.
Oh, no, much better to show Bin Laden watching an episode of Entertainment Tonight that could have only aired 11 days after Bin Laden was supposedly killed. Surely that will peak the interest of people to get involved in the conspiracy theory.
And to really hook people into the conspiracy you must make sure it involves President Obama and his long form birth certificate. After all, you know it's a fake birth certificate because it does not state just how old Obama really was when he was first born. O... K... sounds like the Tea Party reasoning. Oh, what fun the comics are having with this show. :)
It gets better. To hear the hilarious reasoning as to why Obama is really not younger than Bin Laden - but actually the same age and a former school chum of Bin Laden - you have got to take a listen:

The Social Poets: Jon Stewart Interviews Egypt Revolution Activist Gigi Ibrahim
The Social Poets: Jon Stewart Interviews Egypt Revolution Activist Gigi Ibrahim: "From Denny: Stewart dishes out the political satire in a semi-serious interview aimed at exposing how for decades American policy has had little to do with the reality of every day Egyptians.
What is so funny about the experience of this young woman is how she became involved in the Egypt Revolution this past January in Tahrir Square. She went to a class, 'The Social Mobilization Under Authoritarian Regime,' at the American University in Cairo."
