Korean representative at the Venice Biennale, Lee Hyung-koo presented the imaginary animal fossil creations through alteration of reality. Lee took an interest in cartoon characters, which are exaggerated caricatures of the human body, and went on to restructure them in a pseudo medical/archeological way based on anatomical and phrenological standards. He authentically reproduces related items, such as bone remnants found at a natural history museum, thereby blurring the lines of imagination and reality.
